Skipper Doyle could be set for Pool exit

Blackpool's plans for the new season could be set for a huge blow as Colin Doyle is linked with the exit.

The Seasiders’ club captain is the subject of a interest from a League One club this morning which could see him depart Pool’s Scotland training camp.

It’s understood Doyle was one of the players at Bloomfield Road with a clause which would allow him to leave the club for next to nothing following relegation from League Two last season.

And after weeks of positivity around new boss Gary Bowyer’s start to life at Blackpool, he could be set to lose his number one stopper.

Doyle was one of the shining lights of Blackpool’s shocking League One campaign last season, prompting interest from a number of clubs this summer.

The Gazette understands a League One club have activated the option in his contract and will hold talks with the Irish keeper within the next 24 hours.
