An estimated 60,000 people crammed onto the seafront to see the team’s open-top bus travel along the prom to celebrate their promotion to the Premier League.

It came after the Seasiders twice came from behind to defeat Cardiff City 3-2 in the Championship play-off final.

Brett Ormerod scored the winning goal to clinch Blackpool’s return to the top flight for the first time in 39 years, after Charlie Adam and Gary Taylor-Fletcher had earlier found the back of the net.

More than 35,000 Blackpool fans made the trip down to Wembley.
