Plymouth looked set to inflict another damaging home defeat on Blackpool when they went into the half-time interval 2-0 up, thanks to goals from Ruben Lamerias and Graham Carey.

But Blackpool, who had 20 attempts on goal in comparison to Plymouth's seven, fought back and earned a point thanks to Colin Daniel's strike and Viv Solomon-Otabor's injury time equaliser.

The Seasiders also forced 11 corners to Plymouth's three, while the visitors could only muster two shots on target.

But Adams insists his side were well worthy of the win, saying: "I was very pleased with our two first-half goals and I think it's fair to say we deserved the lead.

"They’ve stolen the point in the 94th minute when we should have cleared our lines.

"Other than that I don’t think our goalkeeper has had too many saves to make.

"They’ve scored two scrambled goals and are probably a bit lucky to draw the game. They're a lucky team."

Gary Bowyer's post-match verdict on draw against Plymouth Argyle

Having been informed of Adams' comments, Blackpool boss Gary Bowyer retorted: “Derek Adams is entitled to his own opinion, but you’ve seen what the stats are.

“We’ve had 20 attempts at goal and double figures for corners, so we were obviously very lucky.

“I think he’s just trying to kid the Plymouth public in his local paper.”
