The goals from set-pieces continued to flow as PNE loanee Tommy Spurr netted his first goal for the club.

Wes Burns, a Ged Garner penalty and a late Ashley Nadesan strike sealed a comfortable victory in Budapest.

Rangers loanee Jason Holt’s 11th-minute corner found Spurr who nodded in.

But after squandered chances by Holt, Bobby Grant and Paddy Madden the Slovakians fought back, Samorin levelling just before half-time.

Matt Urwin, given his first start for Town, was beaten after a scramble in the area, with Janko getting the last touch.

The full 11 was changed at the break and a great break from Kyle Dempsey set up Burns, who showed his striking prowess to fire home.

It was then time for the development squad youngsters to shine.

Garner and Nadesan continue to push their causes for first term involvement when the new League One season commences on August 4.

Garner slid in Nadesan who was hauled down in the box.

As Nadesan dusted himself down Garner, 20, stepped up to fire home his first goal for the club from the spot.

But there was still time for Nadesan to make it two in two.

Burns teed the forward up and Nadesan ensured Barton’s men netted four for the second game in a row.

Barton’s men will now bid to keep that unbeaten start going when they face Hungarian side Zalaegerszeg TE on Saturday evening, in the club’s final game of their pre-season trip
