Nathan Delfouneso recovering at home following clash of heads

Blackpool forward Nathan Delfouneso has left hospital and is now recovering at home, the club has confirmed.

The 27-year-old was rushed to hospital last night after being stretchered off the pitch in the first half of Blackpool's game against Charlton Athletic at Bloomfield Road.

It followed a clash of heads with Charlton defender Lewis Page, which led to Delfouneso being treated on the pitch by paramedics for seven minutes.

Twelve minutes of stoppage time were then added on at the end of the first half.

Blackpool eventually won the match 1-0 courtesy of Jimmy Ryan's last-minute goal, with the players dedicating the victory to their teammate.

It is understood Delfouneso suffered symptoms consistent with concussion.
