Graham Alexander was pleased with the workout for his Fleetwood team in Thursday’s 1-0 defeat at AFC Fylde.
He said:”Scorelines don’t matter but I like our teams to have the will to win which I saw. It’s not about the result.
“We said to the lads we weren’t going to go easy on them because we saw this as an extension of the session.
“We took a couple of hours off, came into a game and I was really happy with what I saw.
“It was a very competitive Fylde team and it was great to integrate some of the youngsters who have stepped up with some of the senior team.”
Matt played 35 minutes in the first half before being replaced by Vamara Sanogo.
He was lively around the box, producing Town’s best chance of the opening 45
“Getting Jamille back and getting him through 30 minutes was fantastic,” said
“I spoke to physio Luke Bussey and he said 30 minutes and it was a good time to take him off after a positive display.”
Town named two trialists in their 22-man squad including former Blackpool star Bobby Grant. The club are expected to make a decision today on whether he will travel to Germany this weekend for Town’s training camp.
