FLEETWOOD skipper Stephen McNulty kept his emotions in check and his feet firmly on the ground as he prepared for the tie and was confident that Blackpool would be in for a test, writes STEVE SIMPSON.
“We are preparing as if it’s just another game – there is a lot riding on it, but we have to take it as we come.
“Of course, we think we can cause an upset – there would be no point in turning up otherwise.
“We are not stupid – there is a massive gulf between us and Blackpool, but that’s what the FA Cup is all about.
“We will have to play very well on the day and get the rub of the green – we will be giving it our all.
“The club are going places – the gaffer and the chairman have put a great squad together.
“We can just go out and enjoy our day – there is going to be no pressure on us.
“We are expected to get beaten and we are happy to be the underdogs – it has been the same in the last two rounds and we proved people wrong.
“There is no reason why we can’t do it again.
“We are realistic – we are not going to win the FA Cup, but we want to enjoy our day.
“There might be an upset, there might not – our main is to get promoted to the Football League.
“We have a lot of ability – you only have to watch one of our training sessions. We all believe in that ability.”
