BLACKPOOL FC Ladies made the most of a rare foray on Bloomfield Road turf by thumping Carlisle 6-0.
Mac Barlow was the player of the match, netting twice.
Becky McEwan scored the opening goal before Rhiannon Davies doubled the advantage.
Pool made it 3-0 after Jazz Sanderson set up Barlow, who beat the keeper from 25 yards.
Carlisle made a concerted effort to claw back the leeway in the second half, and only some last-ditch tackling by Blackpool kept them out.
Blackpool’s Alice Jackson won the ball deep in the Seasiders’ half and Davies fired in a shot, which rebounded in off the Carlisle keeper.
Barlow netted her second before Blackpool had a goal-bound shot cleared off the line.
Blackpool were awarded a late penalty and it was taken by Seasiders’ goalkeeper Chrissie Workman.
The spot kick was saved, but Workman followed up to find the net and round off the scoring for top of the table Seasiders.
