SHAUN Beeley is bidding to sharpen up his act at Hayes and Yeading after admitting he wasn’t at his best in Saturday’s win over Wrexham.
The Fleetwood defender felt a little off the pace in his first game back after a hamstring injury but aims to return to his best tomorrow.
The right-back has been one of the success stories of the season and he’s determined to end the campaign on a high. Beeley said: “It’s about getting my sharpness back because I was lacking a bit on Saturday.
“Hopefully I can get back to my earlier performance levels when I shake off the injury, which is a bit niggly.
“It wasn’t a complete tear and it does worry you that it could go again, but I’ve got to thank (physio) Ian Liversedge for all his help.”
Beeley certainly doesn’t want to miss any more games in Town’s vital run-in. He added: “It was tough last weekend but I enjoy playing in big games like that. But the games against the lower teams, like Hayes, are just as important. It’s all about everyone sticking together and getting the win we need.”
