FLEETWOOD Town have continued their close-season transfer dealings by signing Kidderminster Harriers’ skipper Keith Briggs.
The influential midfielder has signed a two-year contract as manager Micky Mellon continues his mission to shape a squad capable of getting the club into the Football League next season after the recent near-miss in the Blue Square Bet Premier play-offs.
Briggs has been signed with a view to bossing the central midfield.
Mellon enthused: “Briggs has tons of experience - he is a leader who has done fantastically well for Kiddermsinter.
“He will add to the midfield options we have already got - he is a player with plenty of Football League experience.”
Fleetwood have not disclosed the fee.
Briggs, 29 has played for Mansfield, Crewe, Norwich, Stockport and Shrewsbury.
Fleetwood expect to tie up another couple of signings on Friday.
Goalkeeping coach Eric Nixon has left the club.
