IT was a great day for clubs from the lower level in the G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance’s Premier & Division One Cup.

AFC Additions pulled off the shock of the day with a 4-2 victory over Lancashire Cup semi finalists Poulton SFC, thanks to goals from Scott Bradford (2), Simon Beavers and Stuart Pratt.

A Liam Forrest hat trick helped Fleetwood Gym to a 6-3 win over premier division FC Loco.

In the all-division one ties, Bloomfield Vets pulled back a 2-0 half-time deficit to draw level with The Shovels, the pulled clear again to win 4-2 with a Peter Clarkson treble and Ashley Casey’s goal. The County eased through 5-0 against a disjointed West Coast Tackle.

Quilligans remain unbeaten in the premier division after a 6-0 win over FC Eden, in which Michael Evans and Anthony Pearson both scored twice. A Wayne Gardiner hat-trick helped Devonshire Arms to a 6-1 victory over Newton Arms.

In division one, Highbury Vets thrashed bottom side Uncle Toms Cabin 10-3 with four goals from Michael Anderson and a Barry Perkes hat-trick lead. Other treble scorers were Chris Hibbert and Chris Kitchen of Mythop Leisure in the 9-1 victory over Highfield Social. Division two leaders Real Burlington beat No.4 Rangers 4-1, with a Jamie Nay double, while a goal in each half from Sean McGuiness and Nigel Marlow gave Blackpool Catholic Club a 2-0 win against Layton Institute.

Blackpool Lane Ends kept up the pressure on the division three leaders by beating Blue Room 5-0 with a Craig Worrall treble. Ashiana defeated No.4 Celtic 9-3, with Andrew Scott netting three and pairs from Lee O`Donnell, Liam Orr and Phillipson Peltier.

Hansom Cab beat Wilo 8-2, with Philip Csesznyak netting three and Christopher Glynn two.

Lane Ends overcame a 3-1 half-time deficit to draw 3-3 with Mere Park thanks to Nathan Sheliker’s double and an Adam Wilson goal. Aaron Clarke, Scott Grimes and Jacob Peake were on target for Mere Park.

Danny Cowell bagged a hat-trick for division four leaders No.1 Club in their 4-1 win over DH Gas, while Stuart Wilson did likewise in the 5-2 defeat of Cuban All Stars which lifted Metrostars to third, Steve Feeney scoring the other two.

The Sunn Inn trounced Fylde Coast Vets.10-0 as Mark Yates fired home four and Paul Gaskell three. Blackpool Catholic Colts hammered CBFC Choice Furniture 8-1, Jason Jewitt grabbing four goals.

n SEASIDERS star David Vaughan is betting on G Casino to be successful sponsors of the Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance.

The Wales midfielder was happy to attend the official launch of their sponsorship at the Promenade casino.

G Casino actually took over the sponsorship late last year and staged a special poker competition exclusively for Alliance players over Christmas.

Michael Swift was delighted to accept the £250 prize on behalf of winning team Devonshire Arms.

From now on, the manager of the month will also win a dinner for two at the casino restaurant as well as a trophy.

And come the end of the season, the winners of each division will be invited along to play Deal Or No Deal for a £1,000 prize
