AFC Fylde can return to the top of Vanarama Conference North with victory in tonight’s rearranged match at Bradford Park Avenue

BPA have a West Riding County Cup fixture against Gosforth fixed for Wednesday, hence the unusual Monday scheduling for this key match in the promotion chase (7.45pm kick-off).

With four games to play, tonight’s game enables Fylde to steal a march on title rivals Barrow, who face North Ferriby tomorrow.

The Coasters, who are unbeaten in seven but have drawn three of their last four, should have visited BPA on Easter Saturday but the game fell victim to a waterlogged pitch.

This is the teams’ fourth meeting of the season and BPA are yet to get the better of Fylde.

The Coasters won the league clash at Kellamergh Park 2-1 in September, then they were paired together in the FA Cup later that month. The upshot was another 2-1 Fylde victory, though they needed a replay.

Fylde are two points behind Barrow, who were surprisingly beaten at Brackley Town on Saturday, while Fylde had to settle for a 2-2 home draw with Solihull Moors.

Goals by Danny Lloyd and Richie Allen looked to have won it for Fylde until Solihull equalised with a penalty deep in stoppage time.
