Town showed their commitment to the midfielder throughout his rehabilitation, allowing him to stay at Poolfoot as he recovered despite them being within their rights to end his loan spell.

Rossiter signed permanently as his deal at Ibrox expired and has been key in the heart of the midfield breaking up play since, nearing 50 appearances for the club.

The new contract extends his stay for two more seasons, although the club did have an option for another season on his deal prior to the new agreement.
