Striker Dodoo was one of four signings in three days by the Seasiders last week, joining on the same day as midfielder Chris Taylor.Gary Bowyer had to wait a couple of days longer than originally anticipated to seal Dodoo’s signature on a season-long loan from Rangers. But the striker, who is also capable of playing on either wing, finally completed his move after receiving confirmation from the Glasgow club, although the deal still requires international clearance. While the 22-year-old has only managed 27 appearances in two seasons at Ibrox, having moved north from Leicester City, he insists there is a lot he has learned during his spell north of the border. When asked about his time at Rangers, Dodoo said: “It has been really good. “It’s a demanding place, where you have to win, but that’s the same for all the clubs I’ve been at.“I’m hoping to bring the same feeling and mentality here to win things and achieve great things with the club.“Getting the deal wrapped up early gives me the chance to play the whole season.”The Ghana-born former England Under-18 international hopes to make 40 appearances this season and said: “Every player wants to play every game and it’s definitely important for me.“But most importantly I want to win.“I know the manager and the players will be feeling exactly the same, so I’m looking forward to it.”The attacker, who still has two seasons left on his Ibrox contract, has League One experience from a short stint at Bury in 2015 and a longer loan spell at Charlton Athletic last season, when he scored twice in eight games.Of his latest move, he added: “I’m delighted to be here. I spoke to the manager and he told me what he’s trying to achieve this season, and I like the sound of it. “It’s a good club and I can’t wait to get started and playing.“It’s brilliant because we can get started from pre-season to build a solid foundation towards what we’re trying to achieve this season.“If you get to know the players and the staff early on, that makes it easier in the long run in the sense of it being a season-long loan.”Gary Bowyer has made six new additions so far this summer, with Michael Nottingham, Harry Pritchard, John O’Sullivan and Jordan Thompson joining Dodoo and Taylor in signing on for next season. The club is still waiting on Kelvin Mellor, Dolly Menga, Clark Robertson, Jay Spearing and Kyle Vassell to decide on their futures. Their current contracts expire at the end of the month.
