Fun for all on derby day with Blackpool FC Community Trust

Blackpool FC Community Trust (BFCCT) will be running a Family Fun Day tomorrow ahead of the Blackpool v Fleetwood derby.

The Family Fun Day is completely free of charge and will be held before kick-off from 11am-2pm.

There will be a variety of activities for all age groups, including mega-football, penalty shoot-outs, face painting, Game Station, Dodgeball and much more. Activities will take place on the car park behind the North Stand at Bloomfield Road.

BFCCT chief exectuive Ashley Hackett is looking forward to the event and said: “Last year’s was a great success and we had over 600 adults and children attend. It really is a fantastic day out for all ages.”

BFCCT will also stage an Education Open Day on Saturday, April 28 at 2pm to promote its educational programmes.

These high-quality educational courses are available at a variety of levels through the trust’s highly qualified and experienced tutors.

The courses look to provide learners with the best opportunities to progress to university or employment, often within the sporting industry.

Any Year 11 student interested in a career in sport is welcome to the open day at Bloomfield Road to find out about the trust’s BTEC in Sport and Education Level 1, 2 and 3 courses.

The open day will take place before Blackpool’s final home game of the season against Shrewsbury and those who attend will be welcome to stay and watch the game for free.
