KIERAN Agard’s second half strike all but ended Fleetwood Town’s playoff hopes.
Agard made the most of a period of intense Millers pressure in the 20 minutes after the break - his strike from six yards decisive.
Daniel Nardiello put The Millers ahead with just three minutes on the clock - picking up o a poor clearance from Scott Davies following a back pass by Alan Goodall.
It took Town just two minutes to level - Junior Brown mishitting his shot from a Gareth Evans cross, David Ball pouncing to prod Fleetwood level.
Town fought back after Agard’s strike but couldn’t find a way past the resolute Rotherham defence.
They are now five points off the playoff pace with two games remaining.
