The Town boss has stated that he is keen to add wingers and another central midfielder to his squad.

Pressley says he is not currently in the market for another defender but has not ruled out swooping for a left-back to provide competition for Amari’i Bell.

And the ex-Scotland defender says he is keen to complete his squad in the next couple of weeks, then focus fully on the League One season beginning at Northampton on August 6.

Pressley said: “At this moment in time we are not looking for defenders. The only position (in the back four) we may consider is a left-back in terms of competition.

“I think we probably need to bring in about three more players over the next couple of weeks. I think that is vital.”

Pressley added that a number of his summer signings will link up with the development squad and will need time to break into the first team.

He said: “We have certainly recruited a number of players who are for the development squad. It will take them time to adapt and progress.”
