Town pulled off a great result in midweek by overcoming in-form Doncaster Rovers 3-1 at Highbury.

However, Ryan Lowe’s Argyle side are in good form themselves having won at Accrington Stanley to sit 12th in the table, one place and three points ahead of Town.

“It’s another tough test for us,” Grayson said.

“To go to Accrington and beat them is a great result for them.

“I saw the goal, not exactly a classic and not great from Accy’s point of view, but they won the game.

“I’m aware that Fleetwood Town beat them quite comfortably earlier on in the season, so they might be looking for a bit of revenge.

“We’ve just got to make sure we match them, compete, play our game and be ruthless in both boxes.

“It doesn’t change really, your philosophy, depending on who you play.

“You’ve got to do the basics right and then, hopefully, down the line your quality will come through and a bit of fortune will help you in some matches.”

The Cod Army ran out 5-1 winners when the two sides met at Highbury in November.

Although Grayson won’t overly focus on that victory, he will be going to his coaching staff for advice on previous meetings.

He said: “We’re tapping into the staff on all of our results, regardless of who we’ve played.

“You look back on when you’ve played the opposition, what hurt them and what you might be able to do again, against them, that worked in that particular aspect.

“Individuals, personnel, fortunes and belief can turn around week in, week out.

“So you can’t go too far back into looking at that result, but if you can do the basics right, you’ve got a chance in any match regardless of your previous results.”

Jordan Rossiter came off in midweek with a knock but should be fit, though Wes Burns will be touch and go after being out recently.

Grayson said: “He’s (Burns) making good progress, I’m not going to let it be known if he’ll be fit or not fit.

“We might have pushed him a little bit quicker if we’d had some poor results recently but the team obviously did well on Tuesday.

“It’s not a necessity to rush him back but, if he is available, he’ll be around the squad because he is a talented player and somebody I like.”
