Fleetwood set to host Wigan in pre-season friendly

Fleetwood Town have revealed they will host newly promoted Championship side Wigan Athletic in pre-season.

Gary Caldwell’s League One championship winning side will travel to Highbury on Friday July 29 at 7.45pm.

Steven Pressley’s men lost twice to Wigan last term and it is understood that it will be Town’s penultimate pre-season fixture before the opening game of the new League One campaign at Northampton Town on August 6.

It is believed Town are in the process of arranging a final pre-season game for Saturday July 30.

Season ticket holders will gain free entry to the Wigan match, whilst tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and £1 for U16s in all areas of the stadium.

Tickets for the game will go on sale from 9am on Monday morning.
