Fleetwood Town steadied the ship with a battling 0-0 draw against AFC Wimbledon.
The home side had the better of the first half but created few clear cut chances, Jon Parkin coming closest, having been slipped through by Mikael Mandron but couldn’t get any of his trademark power on the shot.
Injury disturbed the home side’s flow, Bobby Grant, on loan from Blackpool stretchered off just 31 minutes into his debut.
And as the game progressed things got increasingly scrappy, Fleetwood leaving it until the last five minutes to pile on any significant pressure.
Nathan Pond very nearly headed home a winner, rising to Antoni Sarcevic’s corner.
But Town couldn’t quite muster the killer touch in the box, a last-minute penalty shout denied as Matty Hughes stooped to head, only to meet a boot.
