Cowdy believes final is a fitting reward for Seasiders' efforts

The Seasiders are just 90 minutes away from an instant return to the third tier of English football, with Exeter City the team standing in their way.

The two sides will come face-to-face at Wembley Stadium next Sunday to determine the last promotion spot from League Two.

Pool are gunning for for their fifth play-off triumph at Wembley when they walk out at the national stadium for the seventh time in a divisional final.

The Tangerines crept into the top seven on the last day of the regulation season thanks to a 3-1 win at home to Leyton Orient.

Promotion is now within their grasp thanks to their 6-5 aggregate win over Luton Town in the semi-finals.

That would be exactly what Blackpool deserve according to the club’s chief executive.

He said: “There is a fantastic togetherness and spirit in the squad and the players have been determined to fight for the shirt all season.

“The scenes at the end of the game at Luton Town on Thursday night show you how much it means to them.

“Gary Bowyer, his coaching staff and the players deserve an enormous amount of credit and support.

“It’s been a great achievement to reach the play-off final and one last push will now be required at Wembley.”

The club has been allocated tickets on the East Side of Wembley (level 1) for the 3pm kick-off at the weekend and tickets go on general sale today.

There are six ticket price categories, five of which are available through the club. Half-price concessions are available in each category for over-60s and under-16s.

Category 1: £60 (£30 concessions)

Category 2: £48 (£24)

Category 4: £38 (£19)

Category 5: £32 (£16)

Category 6: £26 (£13)

Tickets will be available for certain blocks at the ticket office and for others online.

Tickets can be bought online from 8am this morning, at the ticket office from 9am and over the phone from 10am.

The ticket office will be open daily from 9am-5.15pm throughout the week.
