The 20-year-old American was signed last October but failed to make a senior appearance.

However, Fleetwood have offered professional contracts to six players who will feature in Barry Nicholson’s development squad next season.

Keano Deacon and Thomas Grant have played for the first team, and along with Akil Wright and Kieran Dunbar have had their stays extended for another year.

Youth-team players Mamadou Djabi and Nathan Sheron have been promoted from the U18 set-up to Nicholson’s side but Gogic, Bradley Roscoe, Conor Smith, Keir Dickson, Harvey Hodd, Matty Williams and Max Cartwright are leaving.

Nicholson said: “It’s been a tough decision. I just hope we can help these lads who have been released.

“I want to speak to other managers about them and try to get them playing elsewhere because they’re great lads. I wish them all the very best.

“We feel the ones we’ve kept have got an opportunity to progress at this club.

“With no loan system next season (outside the transfer windows), it’s really important we get the right players in at development level who can really push the first team.

“The ultimate goal is to push them into Steven Pressley’s squad, so it’s a great opportunity for them and one I’m looking forward to.

“They need to come back flying in pre-season. They have to be ready from day one.”
