The Coasters lead the pack by six points with just six games remaining ahead of this afternoon’s clash against Darlington 1883.

Darlington moved into the play-off places with a midweek victory over Bradford Park Avenue and will be keep to strengthen their hold on the top five.

While Fylde’s advantage at the top of the table has been reduced over the last fortnight, Langley admits he wouldn’t swap places with any club at this stage.

Langley said: “We are by no means starting to panic or get nervous. We are still six points ahead at the top and although Kidderminster have a game in hand, we are still in a really good position.

“I know which position I would rather be in. By 5pm this evening the lead could potentially be back to nine points so we just have to carry on working hard and grinding out results.

“Top of the league is top of the league however you look at it. It’s completely in our hands. If we win our games then there is nothing anyone can do about it.

“Because we had a big lead people think we are starting to lose our grip but we were always going to drop points and Kidderminster were always going to keep the pressure up.

“We had a bad result last week but we will be doing everything to put that right today.

“With so few games to go we are purely looking at it game-by-game. We have been working hard in training and preparing well.”

Langley underwent surgery recently on a groin problem but is optimistic about his chances for today’s game.

He said: “I have been back in training this week and it’s feeling a lot better so if selected I’ll be hoping to lead out the lads again.”
