Graham Alexander and his assistant Chris Lucketti were only too happy to help when The Gazette’s Fleetwood Town reporter was nominated for the Ice Bucket Challenge.

The pair administered a real soaking for our man Rob Stocks who was nominated by the club’s commercial manager Martin Booker and his own daughter Harriet.

In turn our writer nominated club chief executive Steve Curwood, media man Derick Thomas and Gazette news editor Matt Squires as well as making donations to two charities benefiting from the worldwide craze.

More than 1.5m people, including sports stars, music celebrities and leading politicians have posted their videos online in support of ALS, more commonly know in the UK as Motor Neurone Disease and supported by the charity MND. Cancer charity Macmillan has also been raising funds through the internet sensation.
