A meeting to discuss football clubs in the north west "in crisis" is to be held in Blackpool tomorrow.

The meeting, hosted by the Blackpool Supporters' Trust (BST) on behalf of the Football Supporters' Federation (FSF), will commence at 12pm at The Hilton hotel on North Promenade.

The FSF's north west division will relaunch by looking at the predicament of some of the region's clubs, including Blackpool, Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers.

A spokesman for the FSF said: "From the ongoing saga that is the Oystons and Blackpool, to Bolton Wanderers’ administration, to the Venky’s at Blackburn Rovers, and more - many proud north west clubs are going through tough times.

"The FSF is very pleased to say that Blackpool Supporters Trust is hosting this event giving fans across the region a chance to share their experiences, concerns, and ideas for campaigning together to improve football governance."

The BST added: “With more money flowing into the higher echelons of the professional game than ever before and seemingly more and more ‘clubs in crisis’, there needs to be fundamental change in how our sport is governed."

The meeting is open to fans of all clubs and is expected to run until around 2pm.
