The Seasiders have no time to dwell on their Wembley success as EFL rules dictate they must publish their list no later than four days after their last game of the season

The club’s chief executive Alex Cowdy said: “On Tuesday Gary and myself will be sitting down and we’ll have a chat with the chairman as well and we’ll be looking at who we keep, who unfortunately has to be released and we’ll be looking at recruiting as well.

“Obviously we’re a bit behind at the moment because the season finished three weeks ago.

“But hopefully we’ll be an attractive proposition having gone up and the way we’ve played this season.”

When asked what Blackpool’s initial aims will be for next season in League One, Cowdy added: “I’ll have a chat with Gary about that, as will the chairman as well. At the moment we just want to enjoy what’s just happened.

“But Blackpool is not a League Two club, I think we all know that. We’ll review this season, what we’ve done well and not so well, and go again next season.”
