Correia led the line for Blackpool in their penalty shootout defeat to Shrewsbury Town on Wednesday night for what was his first senior appearance for the club.

This will be the 24-year-old's second loan deal during his time at Bloomfield Road, having struggled to make an impact during an injury-affected spell at Guiseley - where he found the back of the net just once.

But he now links up with the Minstermen who currently sit in eighth place in the National League North.

He will remain there until the end of the season.

At York he will hope to partner former Fleetwood Town and Preston North End striker Jon Parkin, who has found the back of the net 19 times already this season.

Blackpool signed the Portuguese strike from Radcliffe Borough in January 2017.

The forward agreed an initial 18-month deal, with the club holding an option for a further year.

He joined on the back of scoring 11 goals in 22 games for the Evo-Stik First Division North side.
