It was understood there had been a slight hitch before the deal was done, but it has now been finalised with Agyei due to remain with the Seasiders for the rest of the season.

Blackpool were keen on bringing Agyei to the club during the summer, but he joined Walsall instead where he scored five times in 21 appearances.

He returned to Turf Moor at the start of January.

The Seasiders have been in desperate need of a new forward for a while as they have struggled for goals in the absence of Kyle Vassell and Mark Cullen.

Vassell, still the club's top scorer with eight goals, has been out since the start of December but he is close to a return.

Mark Cullen has been sidelined since August but is still expected to be out for a while.

The 20-year-old made his senior debut for Burnley in March 2017 against Liverpool and followed it up with appearances against Everton and Manchester United.

He has also spent time with Coventry City where he also scored five goals.

Born in Kingston upon Thames, Agyei started his career on the books of Saturday's opponents AFC Wimbledon.

Gary Bowyer said: "Huge thanks, first and foremost, to Sean Dyche and Burnley for allowing it to happen. I'm absolutely delighted to bring Dan in.

"He's here until the end of the season and he's going to bring pace, power and goals, hopefully.

"I've seen him live and he has got this habit of scoring some goals, and good goals at that."
