The visits were part of the Fit2Go scheme, encouraging children to take part in regular physical activity and to join sports clubs and community programmes, improving their health and well-being.

Pupils from both schools, threw a range of questions at the players and Menga added: “A lot of young people stay indoors instead of going outside and playing sports. I recommend that all young people get involved in physical activity.”

Blackpool FC Community Trust will be delivering its half-term sports camps at Unity Academy and Hawes Side Primary School from February 12-16. To book call 01253 348691 or learn more at www.blackpoolfccommunitytrust.co.uk
