The 22-year-old netted his first goal for the Seasiders in impressive fashion in Pool’s 2-1 win against the Trotters.

The on-loan Wolves man had the ball laid off to him by midfield partner Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, before taking a touch and powering a swerving effort into the roof of the net.

While the Seasiders were pegged back late on, they still managed to win the game courtesy of Dewsbury-Hall’s stoppage-time strike.

Ronan faces competition from Bristol Rovers defender Alfie Kilgour and MK Dons forward Rhys Healey.

Pool fans will have bad memories of Kilgour’s strike as it came in Bristol Rovers’ 2-1 win against the Seasiders.

The centre back was allowed to roam forward before sending a rocket into the top corner of Chris Maxwell’s net from 30 yards, giving the goalkeeper no chance.

Healey, meanwhile, is nominated for his strike in MK Dons’ 1-1 draw at Rotherham United.

The winner, who will be chosen by a fan poll, will be announced on Friday, March 27.

Voting opens from 10am today on www.skysports.com. You have until Friday, March 20 to have your say.

The shortlist for the poll is decided by a judging panel following suggestions from supporters via Twitter.

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, Sky Bet Sponsorship Executive Matt Goodwin and EFL Senior Media Manager Rob Meaden.
