A 2-1 defeat at the Kassam Stadium yesterday piled more misery on the Seasiders, who are now winless in their last 10 games in all competitions.

It's resulted in even more pressure mount on under-fire boss Grayson, who has overseen an alarming run of six defeats from Pool's last seven league games.

But Robinson, whose Oxford side sit eighth in the table, believes Grayson will get it right.

"I think we’ve played Blackpool at a very lucky stage with them playing on Tuesday and us not," he told the Oxford Mail.

"I think they’re on a crest of a difficult period, where they’ve brought in so many players in that they will turn it around.

"They’ve got one of the most experienced and successful managers in League One who I know is always very difficult to come up against.

"I think we played them at a good time."
