CHELSEA boss Carlo Ancelotti has labelled tonight’s visit to Bloomfield Road “very important” and reckons his superstar players are in for a tricky time.

The Premier League champions got their stuttering title defence back on track by beating leaders Manchester United, who lost again at Liverpool yesterday, but Ancelotti has seen enough of the Seasiders to know three points can’t be taken for granted.

The Italian said: “It is an important game and difficult because Blackpool have had some fantastic performances in their home games.

“They beat Tottenham last time and were 2-0 up against Manchester United.

“They like to play football with intensity and good pace – good attacking football – so it will not be easy.

“We are in a good moment after the Manchester United win and we want to get a result.

“It’s the wrong way to prepare by thinking it will be easier against Blackpool than United. We have to be more in focus against them than against United.

“It’s easy to stay focused against United because there’s so much attention on the game, and a lot of pressure.

“There is less pressure against Blackpool, so my aim is to maintain their focus.”

Ancelotti revealed he has plenty of respect for Pool manager Ian Holloway.
