TOM Ince almost broke Steve Thompson’s nose after his sensational strike, but it’s fair to say the Seasiders’ assistant boss won’t mind too much.
Delighted at scoring a stunning last-ditch winner to sink Doncaster, the two-goal teenager ran to the dugout and jumped into Thompson’s arms.
The midfielder said: “I went mad and I didn’t quite know what I was doing. I jumped into Thommo and I think I almost bust his nose I was running so fast.
“But the buzz at scoring such an important goal was fantastic. The game was in its latter stages, so when I got the ball I just thought, ‘Why not have a go?’
“I was delighted it went in and I will remember this night for a long time.
“I enjoyed every single minute of my time on the pitch and my dad (Paul) was here to watch; in fact, the whole Ince mob was – family and friends.
“There were about 10 of them and they were my lucky charm. It was nice to cap it off with two goals for them.”
