Blackpool welcome back three players to their squad for tonight’s game at Brentford , writes WILLIAM WATT.
Darren O’Dea and Steven Davies are both expected to be fit after missing Saturday’s derby draw at Blackburn, while defender Tom Aldred returns after a one-match suspension.
Their availability is a boost for boss Lee Clark, who complained of a lack of options at Ewood Park.
O’Dea has made a remarkable recovery after being stretchered off against Nottingham Forest 10 days ago, while Davies has recovered from a bug which ruled him out just an hour before Saturday’s kick-off.
Clark revealed: “We are hopeful Darren O’Dea will be available. He trained on Monday. We will have to see how he responds to training but hopefully he’ll come through fine.
“Steven Davies also travelled to London. He had Sunday off at home to recover from his illness.
“We also have Tom Aldred back, which is a boost.”
But fellow defender Niall Maher has been ruled out with a thigh strain after limping off at Blackburn. Clark revealed: “The only negative news is that Niall Maher is struggling.
“He tweaked his groin on Saturday. I think Nyron Nosworthy will miss out again too.
“Andrea Orlandi was always going to miss tonight’s game but hopefully he’ll be back soon.”
