Sullay Kaikai thrilled by matchwinning Blackpool return and says: Let's build on...

The Dons, who drew 1-1 against bottom side Burton Albion on Saturday, have scored 10 and conceded 11 so far this season.

With Wimbledon being known for their defensive organisation, Critchley concedes it’s likely to be a low-scoring, cagey affair at Loftus Road.

“They’re very resolute. They don’t score a lot of goals but they don’t concede a lot of goals either,” Critchley said.

“They’re built on organisation, they’re built on making it difficult for the opposition and obviously have a way of playing and they’re well-drilled in that. It will be an extremely tough game away from home.

“I know it’s an old cliche, but there’s no easy games. In this division, you’ve only got to look at the results, there’s not a lot between any of the teams.”

The Dons sit directly above Blackpool in the League One table having won two of their opening eight games.

This will be the last time Glyn Hodges’ men will play at their temporary home of Loftus Road ahead of their return to Plough Lane on Tuesday, November 3.

As for Blackpool, they remain a work in progress despite getting back to winning ways against MK Dons on Saturday.

“It takes longer to build connections and the understanding in possession of the ball because you have more decisions to make and more technical actions to make,” Critchley said.

“We’re still finding the right balance of the team and of course over this busy period the team is going to change a bit, but you’re still trying to find consistency in what could be an inconsistent period.

“It’s not ideal, but I still believe in the players we’ve got here. We’ve got some good players and if we pick up the results I hope we can do, then that belief will grow within the group.

“It was a big moment for us on Saturday, the feeling the players had in the dressing room after the game. It was well deserved.”
