Simon Grayson provides injury update on Gary Madine, James Husband and Ryan Edwards ahead of Gillingham clash

The striker was replaced by Nathan Delfouneso just after the hour-mark at the weekend, Delfouneso going on to win the penalty for Blackpool's second goal of the game.

Despite picking up a slight knock, Madine should be fine to be considered for Tuesday night's home game against Gillingham.

James Husband (ankle) and Ryan Edwards (heel), meanwhile, could also come into contention despite missing recent outings through injury.

“Hubby is more or less into full training, as is Ryan Edwards," Grayson revealed.

“Bringing Gary off on Saturday was more of a precaution more than anything and I wanted to change it slightly with Del going up there, as he gave us more pace.

“We’ve got one or two niggles from the weekend, which you expect, but no matter what options I have available and no matter what team I put out, the players have got to go out and do the business.

“There’s good competition for places because two, three or four players weren’t involved because of the level of competition we’ve got now.”
