Joe Rothwell is the latest unsuccessful signing to leave Blackpool.
The 20-year-old midfielder is one of 54 players named by Pool in match-day squads this season.
Loan signing Rothwell has returned early to Manchester United after making only three appearances.
He was due to stay with the Seasiders until the end of the season but failed to tie down a place in the side.
He made his debut at Norwich last month and was last seen at Brentford two weeks ago – Pool lost both matches 4-0.
Rothwell’s departure was followed by confirmation that Islam Feruz’s loan deal has also been cut short.
As revealed by The Gazette last week, Chelsea were believed to be less than happy with Feruz’s lackof game-time and recalled him after talks with Pool boss Lee Clark.
Feruz, who made only two appearances for the club in January, is among those to have been frozen out at Pool in recent weeks as Clark starts to plan for League One next season.
Defender Andre Blackman has left the club, while Nile Ranger remains on contract but hasn’t reported in for training since November.
Belgian defender Jeffrey Rentmeister is no longer training with the Seasiders and is currently the subject of a police investigation into drink-driving, while Joel Dielna and Formose Mendy train away from the first-team squad.
The other unwanted Jose Riga signing at Bloomfield Road is Polish winger Tomasz Cywka, who hasn’t played for the club since September and is currently unavailable following a hernia operation.
