Blackpool returned to pre-season training this morning, but striker Nile Ranger was again nowhere to be seen.
New boss Neil McDonald took charge of his first session as Blackpool manager but the AWOL target man wasn’t involved.
With Pool giving fans’ the silent treatment over many issues, it’s unclear whether or not Ranger has reported back for duty or if McDonald is aware of his whereabouts.
It comes after the manager was recently quoted saying he’d ‘wait and see’ if Ranger turned up after six months away from Bloomfield Road without permission.
The 24-year-old this morning turned to social media to hint he was ready for the new season, posting a picture of a pair of boots on his Instagram account with the caption, “Raring to go #preseason’.
Pool’s threadbare group were put through their paces for just over an hour, with McDonald watching over at his 12-man squad.
It’s believed they’ll again return for a further session this afternoon.
