Blackpool have been handed a boost with the news Darren O’Dea’s injury isn’t as bad as first thought.
The defender was stretchered off with what looked to be a serious injury after a strong tackle ten minutes from time during Saturday’s game.
Initially the player and medical staff suspected the 28-year-old had suffered a broken ankle and feared the worst.
But scan results so just bad bruising, something which delights manager Lee Clark.
“We are hopeful Darren’s Injury isn’t as serious as was first thought, we thought it was a leg break,” he admitted.
“It looks like it’s just an impact injury around his ankle.
“It’s positive news and hopefully Darren will be back in action as quickly as possible.”
