Blackpool face a nervous wait over the availability of key defender Peter Clarke.
The defender has been ill since Tuesday’s defeat against Watford and missed training yesterday.
It’s hoped he’ll join the travelling party for the long trip to Brighton this morning but doubts remain over his fitness.
“Peter’s situation is one we will monitor,” said boss Jose Riga.
“He has been ill this week and it’s a worry, but hopefully he’ll be well enough to take part on Saturday against Brighton.”
Pool received positive news yesterday with midfielder Jose Miguel Cubero finally being granted a work permit.
The 23-year-old has been unable to play since joining at the end of June but was given the green light by the Home Office yesterday after formally lodging his application in New York last week.
However, he picked up an injury while on international duty with Costa Rica last weekend as is yet to return to the UK so will miss tomorrow’s game.
Elsewhere, Andrea Orlandi has travelled but his foot injury makes him a major doubt while Steven Davies and Gary MacKenzie remain long-term absentees.
