Blackpool are sweating on the availability of two midfielders for Saturday’s trip to Brighton.
Andrea Orlandi missed Tuesday’s defeat to Watford with a foot injury, while Jose Miguel Cubero is yet to make his debut.
And manager Jose Riga is hopeful one of them will be available for the south coast clash.
Cubero was due back on the Fylde coast today but is yet to arrive after picking up an injury on international duty with Costa Rica.
He played three games for his country last week week and travelled to the UK embassy in New York to complete the paperwork on his work permit.
Orlandi is expected to be fit to face his old club at the Amex, although at the moment remains a doubt.
The Spaniard could have been risked on Tuesday but Riga revealed a chose to rest him.
The manager said: “Andrea has some trouble with his foot and we didn’t want to take any risks.
“While we have Jacob Mellis still missing, we have to protect Orlandi.”
