JEREMIE Aliadiere is expected to join Blackpool for the rest of the season.
The 27-year-old French striker learned his trade at Arsenal under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger and had loan spells with Celtic, West Ham and Wolves before moving to Middlesbrough three years ago.
He was released by Boro in the summer and had been training with West Ham with a view to a permanent return until he damaged knee ligaments in a reserve game.
Aliadiere, who played in Middlesbrough’s 2-0 Championship defeat at Bloomfield Road last February, has been undergoing rehabilitation at Boro, who offered him full use of their training facilities.
Having been rated one of the best three strikers to emerge from the famous French Clairefontaine academy, alongside Thierry Henry and Nicolas Anelka, Aliadiere was snapped up by Wenger and spent seven years at Arsenal, where he never quite fulfilled his potential.
Various injury problems hindered his stay at Boro and now he is hoping for a fresh start with Blackpool.
