Blackpool have signed Tom Aldred from Accrington Stanley.
The centre back has joined on a short-term loan to allow him to play in today’s game against Brighton.
It’s believed the 24-year-old’s deal will be made permanent after the game.
Aldred came through the system at Carlisle before enjoying spells with Watford and Colchester.
He joined Stanley two years ago, where he worked with Blackpool coach Paul Stephenson, and went on to make 92 consecutive starts.
On the move Aldred said: “After having various moves as a young player I definitely need to stabilise my career.
“I know Stepho obviously from Accrington, he’s a good coach so I’m happy to link back up with him.
“I’d like to call myself a steady central defender and consistency is key,” he said.
