NILE Ranger won’t be coming to Blackpool on loan – Newcastle have banned the out-of-favour striker from going anywhere.

Magpies boss Alan Pardew won’t pick Ranger in his first team at the moment, after the striker upset the club with a series of misdemeanours.

But he isn’t prepared to let the 20-year-old out on loan unless it is certain to lead to a permanent exit.

A £1.5m move to Blackpool fell through this summer because Ranger couldn’t agree personal terms.

Birmingham and Leeds then attempted to sign him on loan deal on deadline day last Wednesday. Ian Holloway would also be keen to sign Ranger on loan if possible – but chances are that won’t be happening.

Ranger’s representatives were summoned to St James’ Park last week and told a loan move would not be given the green light. Ranger’s agent Nick Rubery said: “United have made it clear there will be no movement. It is frustrating for Nile that he will not get that opportunity but it is not up to him or us.

“He just has to get on with the situation and work hard.”
