BLACKPOOL have made a move for Southampton’s Jason Puncheon.
Pool have had a £650,000 bid for the winger turned down but remain hopeful of sealing a deal before the end of the transfer window.
Puncheon is back at Southampton after QPR opted not to make the 25-year-old’s loan deal permanent.
Saints boss Nigel Adkins last selected Puncheon for his club’s FA Cup win over Blackpool 12 months ago, shortly before he moved to Bloomfield Road on loan.
Adkins said: “We have done a little MOT on him and assessed him from a fitness point of view, just to see where he is.
“He has had almost a year out on loan now, at Blackpool and then QPR, so we need to sit down and decide what the future holds.”
Holloway said: “I am definitely interested in signing Jason. He proved what he could do when he was on loan with us last season and I think he would add to our squad.”
