Blackpool look set for two transfer tribunals in the coming months.
After Thomas Ince completed his move to Hull City, 18-year-old defender Harrison McGahey has virtually agreed a deal with League One side Sheffield United.
Though both players were out of contract, Pool are entitled to a compensation fee for them as they are under-23.
The Gazette understands that Hull and the Blades have both had cash offers for the players rejected by Pool. Unless an agreement can be reached, both fees would be determined by an FA tribunal.
It is believed the Seasiders made a last-gasp attempt to persuade McGahey to stay this week. The teenager made four first-team appearances at the the end of last season after coming through the club’s youth system.
Two contract offers were then made to him, though the second of these was withdrawn following the appointment of Jose Riga as manager.
