Blackpool’s players are set for an extended spell in London this weekend as Lee Clark aims to prepare in the best possible way for Saturday’s game.
The Seasiders will set off this morning, a day earlier than normal, ahead of the clash against Charlton in the capital.
Instead of sticking to their usual London routine which involves getting the train on Friday afternoon, Clark is opting to travel today and spend an extra night to prepare.
The players will then train at West Ham United tomorrow morning before having a full evening’s rest in their capital hotel.
Clark explained: “We are going to go on Thursday to get there Thursday night and have a meal together in the hotel.
“We’ll then train together on the Friday in London at West Ham and have a good evening rest on Friday.
“It’s about taking the travel out of it so they get a good nights sleep Thursday and Friday.
“There’s no excuses for the players then.
“We are always looking at little ways which can improve and that’s one way I think we can.”
