A Blackpool fans’ group insists “doing nothing is not an option” ahead of yet another set of protests against the Oyston family.
Blackpool Supporters Trust are holding a pre-game demonstration outside of Bloomfield Road’s West Stand ahead of tomorrow’s game against Fleetwood.
In its weekly Gazette column, BST has asked for fans to join what they describe as a “large and vocal” demonstration at 2.15pm.
A spokesperson said: “A well-supported and vocal protest will continue to send a strong message to the public at large, the media and the club’s owners that this is no way to run a football club and that we find the Oystons’ failure to put football first completely unacceptable.
“The unflattering comparisons with our near neighbours (Fleetwood Town) should not be lost on anyone.”
Pool protest group Tangerine Knights plans to march from the Comedy Carpet opposite Blackpool Tower to the stadium tomorrow.
BST pulled out of organising the march following negotiations with Blackpool Council and Lancashire Police over roadworks in the area.
The council told organisers that there was not enough time to secure a road closure order and that it would cost around £3,000 for its staff to manage the march.
But Tangerine Knights announced it would proceed with the march from 1pm.
