BLACKPOOL have confirmed their interest in Paris St-Germain starlet Banvo Anderson, and revealed a deal is close.
As revealed in The Gazette earlier this week, the 18-year-old has been training with the Seasiders and has done enough to be offered a deal at Bloomfield Road.
Anderson, a left-footed attacker from the Ivory Coast, has progressed through the youth ranks at the French giants and is available on a free transfer.
He fired 27 goals for the club’s reserve side last season and is highly rated by Ian Holloway.
The Pool boss revealed: “We are trying to do a deal with him.”
“Some of these deals can get awkward with agents and even families sometimes.
“He’s a young lad who’s scored 27 goals for Paris St Germain’s reserve team but they are having a bit of a cull and have released him.
“I’ve had eyes and ears all around.
“He’s a big, old fashioned striker who will be one for the future.
“When I say the future, it might take six months, but he’s got a big future.
“He’s fitted into the group perfectly so far, even though he doesn’t speak much English.”
