Blackpool bagged their first win of the season with a deserved 3-1 victory against Barnsley in the first round of the League Cup.
Here's how Pool's players rated:
Mark Howard - 7
Produced a number of smart stops to keep Blackpool in it before they embarked on their inspired comeback.
Michael Nottingham - 8
Netted his first goal for Blackpool to get his side back on level terms. Defended well at right back and is a threat in the opposition box.
Donervon Daniels - 8
Put his head where it hurts and made a number of key blocks on his second debut for the Seasiders.
Curtis Tilt - 8
Won every header and dominated in the tackle in what was his first game of the season following the summer speculation.
Nick Anderton - 7
Put in a defensively solid display at left back against a dangerous Barnsley attack while also providing plenty of support going forwards.
Jay Spearing - 7
Marshalled the midfield as you come to expect from the experienced Pool skipper. Played a couple of incisive passes in the final third.
Jordan Thompson - 7
Caught the eye with a number of impressive set-piece deliveries. Went close with a rasping drive from the edge of the box.
John O’Sullivan - 7
Should have added his name to the scoresheet when he wasted an early chance, but otherwise impressive.
Harry Pritchard - 7
Found the top corner with the outside of his boot to stylishly bag his first goal as a Football League player.
Mark Cullen - 7
Unlucky not to have added his name to the scoresheet. But he fought well and the 60 minutes of action will do him the world of good.
Armand Gnanduillet - 7
Led the line well and Barnsley struggled with his aerial prowess. Bagged a late goal courtesy of a powerful free kick.
Nathan Delfouneso - 7
For Cullen, 61
Came close to scoring on a couple of occasions but provided a threat down the right-hand side.
Paudie O’Connor - 6
For Pritchard, 74
Brought on to replace the impressive Pritchard, who came off with a knock. Kept things tight at the back and was rarely troubled.
Marc Bola - 6
For Daniels, 82
Brought on to add more defensive solidity as Pool settled for their 3-1 scoreline.
